I'm not sure if it's the Circus arriving in town or if it's actually a military exhibition. If it's the latter, it's quite possible that it was organized by the 5-year-old grandson of the Lieutenant Colonel. Only a 5-year-old could come up with such a brilliant way to cover all the flanks.

HAVING A BETTER LIFE THAN AN INDIAN COW

Every year a dozen people die in India because of cows, and little can be done since you cannot hurt them, or you can end up in prison as they are considered sacred animals. Luckily, most of the cows that wander the streets are old, since they are abandoned by farmers who no longer want them. If this wasn't the case, the number of deaths would be much higher.
