Before it came along, doing the laundry was an hours-long (or even days-long) job, done by hand, in cold water, with a ton of physical effort. It was such a grind that entire days were set aside just for washing clothes.

The first electric washing machine was invented in the early 20th century, but it didn’t become common until after World War II. As it made its way into households, it freed up countless hours each week and helped open the door for women to join the workforce. It’s no exaggeration to say that the washing machine gave a massive boost to feminism—quietly but powerfully.

All this came to mind while checking out this girl Leia —or more specifically, her profiles. I’m not saying it’s a fake account, but something feels off. Could it be that her old IG got nuked and she had to start from scratch? Sure. But here’s the thing: on X, she constantly retweets pics of other girls —and you already know that’s a textbook red flag. No woman who makes a living from this is out there boosting the competition for free.

That said, enjoy the photos —they’re damn good. Just a bit of friendly advice: don’t overthink it. Enjoy the ride, and leave it at that.
