VANESSA CARLYSLE, DEADPOOL’S GIRLFRIEND

In the comics, Vanessa Carlysle is a mutant with the ability to shapeshift, and her superhero name is Copycat. Her life with Wade Wilson (Deadpool) starts before he becomes the antihero known as Deadpool. At the beginning of their relationship, Wade is a mercenary who ends up leaving Vanessa when he discovers he has cancer, as he doesn’t want her to see him suffer.
Later on, Vanessa becomes an assassin and is hired by the villain Tolliver, who uses her to impersonate Domino, a mutant working with X-Force. In the Deadpool movies, Vanessa (played by Morena Baccarin) has a slightly different story. In the first movie, Vanessa is a sex worker who meets Wade in a bar.
