THE POWER OF YELLOW

Some colors blend into the background. And then there’s yellow.

In China, it was the color of emperors — a symbol of power and the sacred. In India, it stands for fertility, knowledge, and spirituality. In Mexico, during the Day of the Dead, it connects the living and the departed. In Japan, it can mean courage… or jealousy. And in the West, it swings between joy and betrayal.

Depending on where you are, yellow can mean life, light, desire — or danger. But when they wear it as lingerie, none of that matters. You just know you can’t look away.

FROM FREE HUGS TO FREE SEX

Remember the "Free Hugs" viral thing? That handwritten sign on a piece of cardboard, held by someone standing in the middle of the street, hoping some brave soul would go in for a little spontaneous affection. It became a full-blown phenomenon a couple of decades ago—a simple, feel-good gesture that, at the time, actually felt kind of revolutionary.

It all started with the “Free Hugs” movement back in 2004 in Australia, when a guy named Juan Mann hit the streets with his sign, just looking for a bit of human connection. It didn’t take long for the video to blow up on YouTube and turn into a symbol of hope, empathy, and human closeness—at a time when the world was already getting lost in screens and fast-paced routines.

A lot has changed since then. And while the cardboard + message + spontaneity combo is still around, let’s just say it’s taken a few… interesting turns.

Troy started in aviation photography, thanks to his career as an airline and military pilot, which still greatly influences his current style. He also participates in creative workshops for photographers and models, further enriching his artistic vision. Currently, Troy is dedicated to unique international collaborations, with a book planned for release in 2025.

Books changed our lives. For real.
Thanks to them, we didn’t have to start from scratch over and over again.
Our ancestors didn’t just survive, hunt, or build. They also thought, discovered, and wrote things down. And that changed everything.

Because when someone wrote down how to build a tool, treat a wound, or run a city, it stopped being just their knowledge—it became something everyone after them could use.
Books are memory. They’re legacy. They’re how we managed to remember what we learned through trial and error, and keep moving forward without falling into the same traps.

Thanks to them, we know more, we are more, and we’ve gone way further.
And even if today we read it off a screen, the essence is still the same: someone had an idea, wrote it down… and that idea just made its way to you. That, if you think about it, is pure magic.
