Thierry Baudet, candidate of the conservative party "Forum for Democracy" in the Netherlands, has been attacked during a campaign event in a café north of Groningen, just two days before the general elections. A young man repeatedly hit him on the head with a glass bottle.

There is no doubt that the attack had political motives. The young assailant is likely of socialist ideology, and the foundations of socialism are strongly and historically rooted in conflict and confrontation.
Many of these activists project their own internal conflicts and personal weaknesses onto their rivals. The term "projection" is used in psychology to describe the defense mechanism where people attribute their unwanted thoughts or feelings to others to avoid dealing with them. Instead of confronting their own weaknesses, they project those characteristics onto others and criticize them for something that is actually a reflection of their own behavior.
Today, the social movement that demonstrates the most repression and intolerance is socialism, progressivism, and everything associated with woke leftism. All these people should start with a "projection exercise" and reflect on these dynamics, being aware that their criticisms of others may be related to unresolved aspects in their own lives.
