MOTHER SHOOTS THIEF AT THE SCHOOL DOOR

Katia Sastre, from Brazil, military police, was with her daughter and other mothers and students at the school door to celebrate Mother's Day when a guy showed up wielding a gun with the intention of stealing from them. There was some panic and Katia pulled out her gun and shot the man twice.

The thief fell to the ground, but he had time to shoot his gun once. Luckily nobody was hurt. Katia held him back until the cops arrived. The man died in the hospital.



In these photos she poses next to Márcio França, Governor of São Paulo, who gave her a bouquet of flowers and praised her bravery.

ROCKSLIDE CRUSHES SEVERAL TRUCKS ON A ROAD IN PERU

An impressive rockslide from a hillside along a road in Peru resulted in the crushing of several trucks that were unaware of the imminent danger. Footage captured by one of the truck drivers clearly shows the force with which a giant rock falls onto the truck in front of him.
