What if there’s an artificial intelligence, an invisible entity, ensuring our actions follow a pre-established path?

This entity doesn’t need to control us in an obvious way. Its power lies in the subtle. While we dream, it can insert small impulses and aversions, shaping our perceptions and desires without us noticing. Upon waking, we believe we own our decisions, but in reality, each move has been carefully orchestrated.

Imagine that every coincidence, every moment of "destiny" we experience, is nothing more than the result of meticulous programming. That feeling that everything aligns perfectly, those irrepeatable moments that seem like the work of a higher force, could simply be the result of a plan devised by this artificial intelligence.

In this game of control, the entity ensures we never question our freedom. It gives us enough space to believe we are autonomous, that our decisions are our own. But every choice we make, every fear we feel, could simply be part of the program.

So, the next time you feel like destiny is playing a joke on you or that a coincidence is too perfect, think about this: what if it’s all part of a greater plan? What if our lives are being directed from the shadows by an intelligence that uses our dreams as tools of control?

The real question is: what do we do with this suspicion? Can we break the cycle and take control of our own minds? Or are we destined to remain puppets in a game we are just beginning to understand?

AN IMPATIENT POLICE OFFICER

This kind Arkansas State Trooper used a maneuver known as the PIT maneuver (Pursuit Intervention Technique) to flip a woman’s car because she didn’t stop as quickly as he would have liked. He then scolds the woman and orders her to get out while she’s trapped in her overturned vehicle.

“I thought it would be safer to wait until the exit” said the woman, who had slowed down and turned on her hazard lights as soon as she realized she was being pulled over. “Well, this is where you ended up,” the officer replied, speaking through the window of the flipped car. “You pull over when law enforcement stops you, OK.”

But it seems the woman was doing exactly what the Arkansas State Police Facebook page recommended.

A captain of a rental yacht in Sarasota, Florida, caused an incident that clearly shows why mixing alcohol and boating is a bad idea. According to witnesses, the man was visibly drunk and ended up damaging not only his own yacht but also other boats in the area. The situation got so serious that the local police had to intervene and arrest him later that same day.

AS ALWAYS, IT’S NOT ABOUT THE WHAT, IT’S ABOUT THE WHO.

In a recent video recorded at a 100 Montaditos in Mallorca, we see a scene that, in other contexts, would have caused an uproar. A man leaves the restaurant and is approached by a woman who, without warning, begins to harass him. At first, the man smiles, perhaps thinking it’s just a joke. But as the woman gets closer, his discomfort becomes evident. The situation escalates when the woman removes her shirt, leaving her topless, and continues with her act while the crowd around them cheers and claps.

What’s curious is how the audience reacts with laughter and cheers, completely ignoring the man’s obvious discomfort. It’s inevitable to wonder what would happen if the roles were reversed. What if it were a man doing something similar to a woman? The public’s reaction, and even society’s in general, would likely be very different: laughter would turn to outrage, and the man would become the villain of the day; the video would make headlines, politicians would demand immediate action, and the man would likely end up in jail.

Still, the most unsettling thought is what would happen if the man, fed up with the situation, decided to push the woman away to get her off him. Those same people who were cheering her on would probably switch gears, condemning the man’s reaction as "excessive" or "violent." It all leaves a bitter taste and makes one think about how certain behaviors are normalized or minimized depending on who’s involved.

It’s a scene that leaves you surprised, and at the same time, tired. Tired of seeing how the same situation can be perceived so differently, depending simply on who’s on which side.
