The executive assistant, or executive secretary, is a common position in many organizations, companies, and offices. This person works directly with a director, manager, or high-level executive to provide administrative and organizational support. Their responsibilities may include managing the director's schedule, coordinating meetings and events, preparing documents and presentations, answering phone calls and emails, and performing various administrative tasks.

To be effective in this role, an executive assistant must have excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills. Additionally, proficiency in computer tools and office software is expected. Basic knowledge of accounting, project management, or foreign languages may be required, depending on the specific needs of the position, and in some cases, additional skills may be necessary.
