Animalities were real finishing moves that appeared in Mortal Kombat 3, Ultimate MK3, and MK Trilogy. After winning a fight, the character would transform into an animal—sometimes it made sense, sometimes it was totally random—and deliver a final blow in true over-the-top style.
From glowing beasts to cartoonish creatures, from dragons to... a penguin! These animations were chaotic, ridiculous, and pure '90s madness.
They even made a brief comeback in Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, now with way more detailed and powerful transformations.
So yeah, Animalities were real. And they were exactly what we didn’t know we needed.

About three months ago, we featured a post on Hard Bullet, a VR game that pushes violence to unimaginable extremes. This video someone just sent me is a perfect example of how incredibly fun it can be when placed in the right creative hands.

New edition of the "Spot the 7 Differences" game, where your goal is to find the seven changes I've made to the image on the right as quickly as possible. A photo by Ian McLean that's sure to distract you just enough to add a little extra difficulty.
