SAFETY ROPE

Climbing with a safety rope involves using a rope attached to the climber, manipulated by a partner at the base of the route. The safety rope is used to prevent the climber from falling in case of a slip.
The belayer keeps the rope taut as the climber ascends, and in the event of a fall, firmly holds the rope to control the descent.
