THE AGE OF FILTERS #17
The facial recognition process begins with the capture of an image or video that contains a person's face. This can be done through a camera on a device such as a smartphone.
At this stage, specialized software automatically searches for areas in the image that contain features of a human face. This is done by identifying color patterns and shapes that resemble a face.
Once a face is detected, the system begins extracting distinctive features, such as the position of the eyes, nose, mouth, and overall face shape. These features are converted into a set of numerical data, called "feature vectors," that uniquely represent the person's face.
Automatically, these are replaced by other features previously stored in a database and labeled, as is the case, under the name of "Disney Princesses".
