Now this seems unheard of to me. Unacceptable and very uncivilized. We complain that bikes go through the street slowing down traffic, and that they go along the sidewalks putting pedestrians at risk, but when they finally put a specific lane for bikes, we just invade it? Possibly most of us do not know how to react to an attack from a big dog. Most people try to run away, avoid the bites by defending yourself with your arms or at most trying to kick the damn dog, but I'm afraid that none of that would prevent the dog from biting us if it wanted to. In addition, if we fell to the ground, we would surely be at the dog's mercy.
A surveillance camera captured the moment where a big dog pounces on a man. He avoided the first attack and managed to grab him by the neck. From then on, he takes control of the situation until more people arrive, probably the owner.

There is a more than evident rivalry between cyclists and other vehicle drivers. Both of them enjoy the roads, although the former are the ones who tend to lose.
And if there wasn't enough tension between them, alleycats have been joining them for some time now. Inspired by the adventures of bicycle messengers in the USA, alleycats are "illegal" races in which up to fifty cyclists can participate. All of them have to go through a series of checkpoints, distributed throughout different parts of the city, until completing a tour. The itinerary is chosen by each one, so speed and dexterity are as important as knowing the streets well, as well as taking some risks here and there.
