THE EMPEROR'S CONCUBINES

In Japanese history, especially during earlier periods like the Heian period (794-1185), the concubinage system was a common practice among the aristocracy and nobility. Concubines, known as "nyōbō" or "jōrō," were women who maintained an intimate and often sexual relationship with a man of high status, such as a noble or ruler. This system was influenced by Chinese traditions and the idea of having multiple wives or concubines as a symbol of status and power.

Concubines could have different roles and status within the household or court, depending on the nature of their relationship with the man. Some concubines could rise to positions of influence and power within the household or court, especially if they had children with the man. However, their rights and status were always subordinate to those of the primary wife, if there was one.

Although the concubinage system was common among the aristocracy, not all families practiced this form of polygamy. Moreover, over time, especially with the influence of Buddhism and the modernization of Japanese society, the concubinage system lost acceptance and became less common.

CHAINSAW WOMAN

"Chainsaw Man" is a manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The story takes place in a world where demons are a constant threat to humanity. The plot follows Denji, the protagonist, a young man who fights to survive by killing demons with the help of a chainsaw that is a part of his body. Denji leads a miserable life and struggles to pay off his passed out father's debts.



Denji's life takes an unexpected turn when he dies in a confrontation with a demon and is revived by merging with his chainsaw, becoming the "Chainsaw Man". Now, Denji works for a secret government organization called "Devil Hunters", whose task is to protect humanity from demons.



This is now the bizarre porn adaptation of Chainsaw Woman from the mind of a writer to the desk of a producer.

POLICE ARREST JAPANESE OLD LADY WHO THREATENED PEOPLE WITH KNIVES

Japanese police forces arrested an elderly woman for disturbing public order. The subject was threatening people with large kitchen knives. It took more than 7 agents armed with shields, large plastic containers and a mechanical-hand device (like those grabbing sticks you use to pick up stuff without standing up) to capture the old lady.
I don't know when or why the shot to the knee stopped being used to resolve these events.
