WORK ACCIDENTS
I have come across the following chart that's circulating on the net. We can take Spain as an average variable , since I imagine that, broadly speaking, the numbers in the rest of the Western countries will be more or less the same.
Among all the cases, the biggest difference is found in "Deaths due to occupational accidents." Women are only 6% compared to men (Maybe in "Gender violence" it is the other way around and the difference might be even greater, but in Spain men do not die from gender violence because, the concept itself only contemplates women killed at the hands of men in the sphere of the couple. In the case of being the other way around, it is not gender violence, but domestic violence)*
And if you are wondering how it is possible that there is such a difference between men and women regarding deaths from work accidents, you can find the answer in the video below.
* Well it turns out is not quite right. The difference in men killed in the sphere of the couple with respect to women is 12%.
