ROBOTIC POLICE DOGS

Spot, the popular dog-shaped robot from Boston Dynamics, has been renamed as Digidog and hired by the New York Police Department to carry out operations that can be especially dangerous for human officers, such as dealing with entrenched kidnappers or helping to defuse explosives.
For now they don't plan to use it to patrol the streets, but just wait a few years, when they equip them with AI and attached tasers.
