MOVIES VS FILMS

Ok, let's see... I'm not an English native speaker and I always thought that "movies" and "films" were synonymous, but it seems like there're some differences between both words. Movies have a more commercial objective, while films are movies of an artistic or educational nature not expected to have broad, commercial appeal.
And now, let's see what HBO thinks about this...

GODZILLA'S FILMING (1954)

Godzilla is a classic among classics. It debuted in 1954 under Toho's studios and since then it has appeared in 28 Japanese movies.

INVERTED ROLES IN THE SNOW WHITE MOVIE

In the fairy tale we all knew in our childhood, Snow White was very much prettier than the Evil Queen. That's why the queen wanted to kill poor Snow White, because she wanted to be the most beautiful woman in the realm. However, in the movie directed by Ruper Sanders, "Snow White and the Huntsman", it's Charlize Theron who plays the role of the Evil Queen and Kristen Stewart is Snow White.
Are they trying to made we think that Kristen Stewart is prettier than Charlize Theron and her Dior ad??
