The fruits are basically a covering for the seeds of the plant. Their basic function is to protect the seeds and provide them with food to keep them alive until they germinate. In some cases they also serve as food for animals, using bright colors and sweet flavors, but the real purpose of this is to use these animals to spread their seeds after they have eaten the fruit.
All beings, since we are born, live in a constant evolution to adapt to the environment and thus survive, and since the arrival of sexshops, red peppers have undergone an evident change to try to attract living beings as they did before and fulfill the function to spread their seeds.
