RISS, THE NON-FIT MODEL

Marissa Dubois, known as "Riss", is a curvy model that is causing a lot of fuzz online, mainly because of her participation in a parade, specifically the last edition of Miami Swim Week. Riss wore a green bikini with a crossover neckline, showing off her generous curves, especially from the waist down.

On the one hand, the media describe her as the "non-fit" model who defies the beauty standards, and it is enough to check her social media platforms to realize that Riss spends many hours in the gym. Challenging the beauty standards is simply absurd, because the majority of men would bang her brains out if they had the chance.
And on the other hand, according to these same media, Riss wants to send a message to inspire her followers to love their bodies just the way they are. Ok, that sounds very nice (the following statement is my own opinion), but her body has undergone surgery and has undergone more than one liposculpture procedure. The fact that she is so skinny on top and she has those hips and thighs is nothing more than getting thin by eating whatever you want and then removing the fat surplus thanks to your friend the surgeon. That stomach doesn't match those legs at all.

She affirms, to silence the critics, that this body is hers and she hasn't undergone medical procedures to look that way. She states that she has always been chubby. And yes, I believe the fact that she didn't have to add anything to her body to look like that, but I'm sure you did take some things off. If you want to love your body the way it looks but you also want to hit the gym to train hard, and on top of that, use surgeries to remove what the gym cannot, seems a little contradictory in my humble opinion.
Everybody can do whatever they want. I will never criticize that. But don't sell me one thing and then do the other because that whole hypocritic speech is getting old.

We must acknowledge that the idea of creating outfits using adhesive tape is a very daring idea as well as risky. I see it as one of those ideas that you raise in a family dinner like "Hey, hear me out, I have an idea that's going to absolutely kill it", but then it makes people look at you with judgement. But the market is what it is, as unpredictable as it is unexpected. We must thank the guy from Blacktapeproject who, even if he wasn't the forerunner, has been one of the visible faces of this new style.

The Isis Fashion Awards are the first fashion show to focus exclusively on accessories, meaning the models wear no clothes at all. Accessories designers are the great forgotten figures in the fashion industry. Most of the time, all the attention and fame goes to the clothing designers, and many accessories designers feel ignored, but at this event they are given all the attention their work deserves.
