Happy Tree Friends was a flash animation series created by Kenn Navarro, Rhode Montijo, and Aubrey Ankrum.



It was launched in 1999 on the Internet and gained popularity for its adorable characters but with surprisingly violent and dark content. The series followed a group of anthropomorphic animals experiencing graphic and comedic accidents resulting in very serious and macabre injuries.
