The digital age offers us a tempting showcase of paradise destinations through social media. Idyllic videos and perfectly framed photos lure us with the promise of amazing places and unforgettable experiences. However, the reality we encounter when we arrive at these places rarely matches our expectations.

The carefully selected and edited images show us an idealized version of reality, hiding the less attractive details. Instagram filters beautify landscapes, and special effects magnify the atmosphere. They sell us a fantasy of perfection that, unfortunately, doesn't always translate into the real experience.

RESCUING A DRIVER FROM THE FLAMES

A driver was rescued by bystanders after an accident on I-94 in Minnesota. His truck caught fire after crashing into a light pole.
Kadir Tolla, one of these heroes and owner of the car that records everything, told FOX9 that he was on his way to work when he saw the vehicle engulfed in flames. "The driver was conscious," he said, and kept shouting "Get me out, get me out, get me out."
After several failed attempts to open the doors, blocked by the guardrail, a road worker broke the window, managing to pull the driver out with minor burns.

It's overcome countless technical barriers, to the point where we didn't know if many of the videos we've seen all these years were real or CGI.
